Nitrous oxide sedation - advantages as a patient
- You can determine how deep the sedation will be

- Level of sedation can be increased, decreased, or even stopped completely at any time
- You can drive within 15 minutes after sedation as there are minimal side effects
- It works fast as within the first few breaths; you start to feel relaxed and comfortable
- Works great for both children and adults providing a positive treatment experience
- It is safe and efficient for children too
Nitrous oxide sedation – is not recommended for
- Pregnant women – first and second trimester
- Patient who abuses drugs, alcoholism
- Vitamin B12/Folic acid deficiencies or disorder
- Bleomycin therapy patients < 7 months ago
- Patients who may have had eye operation with an intra-ocular gas bubble
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), emphysema
- Ileus, pneumothorax, middle year infection, surgery of the middle ear
